Hey all,
This place has become quite empty over the past few years, but I'm hoping this year is the year that I change all of that.
For years, I have let me day job have control over my energy and creativity levels, but I think enough is enough. I'm going to try and be better! Feeling burned out at work is a sign that I should be focusing on things that used to be super important to me.
For starters, I'm going to try and play with adding a handful of cons to my schedule. So far
Furnal Equinox,
Anime North and
Fan Expo have been confirmed, but I'm thinking of trying to get into a few other cons (
ConBravo is definitely going to be attempted!). Ottawa Comiccon and Otakuthon are others that I'd be interested in trying out if my moving/work schedule allows it. I remember Otakuthon being super fun!
I'm also going to try to get online shops set up for people that are interested in my work but haven't been able to go to any cons that I frequent. RedBubble and Society6 will probably my first steps, with etsy following close behind once I get my studio space set up (hoping for April!!!).
As always, Deviantart is a place for my finished goods, but if anyone is ever interested in following me on other platforms, my
Tumblr is for literally everything, and I'm starting to play around with Instagram (@tiikayart).
I'm hoping I can follow through with all of this, as I miss being creative, and I also miss the creative community. As for commissions, I am still not prepared to open up for those as of yet, but I'm hoping later this year I can. Stay tuned to this space!
Cheers~!

PS: For those attending Furnal Equinox, I will most likely be posting badge commission preorders for Saturday pickup in this space leading up to the con. Check in with me if you're even the least bit interested!
